As part of the “Diplomatic Meetings” component of the LEAD Albania Program, the fellows of the 11ᵗʰ cohort had the unique opportunity to meet with H. E. Mr. Álvaro Renedo Zalba, the Ambassador of Spain to Albania. This meeting provided an invaluable platform for the fellows to engage directly with a diplomat, gaining first-hand insights into the world of diplomacy, leadership, and international relations.
The conversation highlighted various approaches to fostering successful partnerships, especially in a globalized world where collaboration is key. Ambassador Renedo Zalba shared his thoughts on how emerging leaders can build bridges between diverse cultures and navigate complex political situations. His expertise on fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships was a valuable experience for the fellows, offering them practical tools they can apply in their own leadership endeavours.
During the meeting, the fellows were active participants in the conversation. They were encouraged to share their own ideas, thoughts, and insights on leadership, particularly the challenges they face in their respective fields and the strategies they have used to overcome them.
This high- stake meeting shows the program’s commitment to providing fellows with direct exposure to global leaders, helping them cultivate the skills, insights, and networks necessary to excel as future leaders in Albania.
