The remarkable 11-year journey of LEAD Albania was celebrated in an event that gathered program partners, supporters, and LEAD alumni from throughout the years. During the event, Mr. Arbjan Mazniku, the Minister of State for Local Government, and Mr. Michael D. Granoff, Chairman of the AADF Board of Trustees, shared their perspectives on the program and the significant impact it has made along the way.
Now in its 11th year, the program has proudly supported 120 fellows, 65% of whom currently hold leadership positions in their respective careers. This impact extends beyond national borders, with 12% of recent applications coming from professionals abroad—showcasing the program’s role in Albania’s “Brain Gain” initiative by encouraging the return of talent and expertise.
The event marks a dual milestone in the leadership program: celebrating the achievements of the graduating fellows of cohort 11 and inaugurating the next cohort. The ceremony praised the dedication and accomplishments of the outgoing fellows, highlighting their transformative journey and impact as leaders. It will also serve as a platform to introduce and welcome the incoming cohort 12th of LEAD Albania, setting the stage for their growth and leadership development.
With a mission to cultivate the next generation of leaders, LEAD Albania strives to be a key contributor to the country’s governance and policy-making landscape.
